Getting stronger on the back squat, the bench press, and the deadlift has a trickle-down effect to every other exercise because the powerlifting movements are so functional– we do variations of them everyday. Here are just some of the benefits of powerlifting:

  • increase your overall strength;
  • build lean muscle (beneficial whether you’re looking to burn fat or improve your running and other sports);
  • prevent injuries– practicing the lifts correctly with a coach will help you to build strength and prevent injuries.

The Program

The Powerlifters will meet 3 days per week, for 6 weeks, to complete their individualized programs under the supervision of a Coach. Each day the athlete will be given their program based on their max lifts for the deadlift, the bench press and the back squat. These movements will make up the core of the classes, but we will also be working on accessory lifts, such as the press, power clean, rack pulls, and bench press variations.

The program runs from Saturday March 24th- Wednesday, May 2nd, ending in a test day on Saturday, May 5th. The 6-week program is $179.00, or $99 for MCF Unlimited Monthly Members.
